Nancy Watson has been teaching art to all ages for over 35 years. While finishing her BA in art education at Towson State University in Maryland, she worked each summer at the Childrens Fresh Air Camp teaching arts and crafts. During college Nancy was awarded the grand prize at the annual Student Art Exhibition where the school purchased and displayed her piece of work in the Student Union building. These are some highlights from her long career. After graduating Nancy taught Art in elementary and middle schools in Baltimore, MD. She also taught classes at the Jewish Community Center of Baltimore and the Cloisters Children's Art Museum.
While living in New York, Nancy taught Therapeutic Arts and Crafts to special education students at ARC in Hauppauge, NY. She also exhibited and sold her art at venues around Long Island. Since moving to Florida Nancy taught Therapeutic Arts and Crafts at HRS Senior Rehabilitation Center. She was a founding member of the team that began the Creative Arts Studio and taught classes and private lessons there for over 13 years. For the past 2 years She has also worked for Kaman Art Shoppes at SeaWorld Orlando doing free hand henna tatoos and hand print animals for the guests. Nancy is very happy to join in the staff at ASM Studios.
