Sarah Nadia Rahman was born in Albany, New York. From an early age, it was apparent that Sarah had an affinity for fine arts. Since she was 3 years old, Sarah had been praised for her natural artistic abilities which seemed to be beyond her age. Around the age of 5, her family drove across the country before settling in Orlando, Florida. Once she began kindergarten, she had the opportunity to begin weekly art lessons which she quickly excelled. Throughout primary and secondary schooling, she won various artwork competitions and began to take the most advanced level of art classes offered at her schools. Sarah was well recognized for her artistic abilities in competitions such as The Orange County Water Division rain barrel competition, T-shirt and bookmark design competitions, and the Orange County Environmental Protection Division’s Art Reuse annual calendar competition.
Sarah is currently studying Character Animation at the University of Central Florida’s School of Visual Arts and Design under the tutelage of well-respected professors such as Dennis Ahearn, Robert Rivers and Assistant Department director, Jason Burrell. Sarah has been trained in all forms of traditional art, including Drawing, 2-dimensional design and 3D sculpture with special experience making ceramics. In the Spring of 2015, her art was featured in an exhibit at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Orlando. Sarah is just one fine example of our amazing talent we have for instructing here at ASM Studios. She currently teaches group and private art classes.
