Voice - Piano
Inspired by her mother’s singing and piano and violin playing, Amanda has been singing and playing piano since she was a little girl. Her formal vocal training began in high school and has been rooted in the Classical discipline, though she sings all types of music. Amanda has sung in different choirs, including full SATB choirs, show choir, and women’s choirs. She has competed in solo vocal competitions and received the category for highest markings each time. She has also participated in theatre productions such as “The Sound of Music” as the Baroness Frau Schraeder and “Into the Woods” as Rapunzel.
Amanda sang as a worship team member for several years in church for the main congregation and also as a worship vocalist for her church’s young adult ministry.
Her vocal journey has been filled with several wonderful instructors such as Carissa Hosea in high school, Lauren Feider at Florida State University, Casey Naggiar at Gulf Coast State College, and Dr. JoAnne Stephenson at the University of Central Florida.
Amanda’s formal training in piano began with lessons in middle school and continued through high school where she studied Classical piano with her piano teacher, Carissa Hosea. Later, during her time at Gulf Coast State College, Amanda continued her classical piano studies with Dr. Christine Yoshikawa as well as Jazz piano lessons with her jazz instructor Chris Rochester.
Amanda graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Music in the summer of 2021.
